The Beach House – NZ$345 per night, per couple
The Beach Bungalow – NZ$315 per night, per couple
The Garden Bungalow – NZ$295 per night, per couple
The Ocean View Penthouse – NZ$295 per night, per couple
The Two Bedroom Garden House – NZ$450 per night, for up to 4 adults
The Two Bedroom Garden House can accommodate up to 5 adults. Please enquire for additional guest rates.
Minimum Stay: 5 nights
Walk-In Rates: Subject to availability.

Check-In: From 2:00pm
Check-Out: By 10:00am
Please provide your flight details when booking. Where our booking schedule allows, we are happy to be flexible with arrival and departure times.
Early Check-In
From 10:00am – NZ$120
From 6:00am – NZ$180
Before 6:00am – Full nightly rate
Late Check-Out
Until 2:00pm – NZ$120
Until 6:00pm – NZ$180
After 6:00pm – Full nightly rate
Early check-in and late check-out are subject to availability and may occasionally be provided in another bungalow.
Payment
A 30% deposit of the total booking value is required within 7 days of making your reservation.
The remaining balance is due 14 days prior to arrival in Rarotonga.
Payment details will be provided with your booking confirmation. Please use your surname and arrival date as your payment reference.
Cancellation Policy
Deposits are fully refundable up to 8 weeks before arrival, less a NZ$100 non-refundable booking fee.
For cancellations within 8 weeks of arrival:
8–4 weeks: 15% of the total booking value retained
4–2 weeks: 25% of the total booking value retained
Within 2 weeks or no-show: Full payment retained, less any nights successfully rebooked
We strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance with cancellation cover.
Wi-Fi
Complimentary unlimited Starlink Wi-Fi is available throughout your stay.
Mobile data and Travel SIMs are also available from Vodafone Cook Islands.
House Policies
Sunset Palms Rarotonga is an adults-only property for guests aged 18 years and over.
To maintain a peaceful and relaxing environment:

Visiting the Cook Islands

Rarotonga is the main island and gateway to the Cook Islands, while Aitutaki is internationally renowned for its spectacular lagoon.

Southern Group: Rarotonga, Aitutaki, Atiu, Mangaia, Mauke, Mitiaro, Manuae, Takutea and Palmerston.
Northern Group: Manihiki, Penrhyn (Tongareva), Pukapuka, Nassau, Rakahanga and Suwarrow.
Currency & Language
The main currency is the New Zealand Dollar (NZD). Cook Islands coins are also in circulation.
Visa, Mastercard and NZD cash are widely accepted.
The official languages are English and Cook Islands Māori (Te Reo Māori Kuki Airani). English is widely spoken.
Climate
Rarotonga enjoys a warm tropical climate year-round.
May–October: Generally drier with lower humidity
November–April: Warmer and more humid with tropical showers
Temperatures are generally around 22°C–30°C throughout the year.
Getting Around Rarotonga
Rarotonga is approximately 32 kilometres around, making it very easy to explore.
Popular transport options include rental cars, scooters, bicycles, local buses and taxis.
A Little Cook Islands History
The Cook Islands were settled by skilled Polynesian navigators many centuries before European contact.
Captain James Cook charted several of the southern islands during his Pacific voyages in the 1770s, with the name Cook Islands becoming established during the 19th century.
Today, the islands retain a strong Polynesian culture celebrated through family, music, dance, language, food and traditional customs.
